The University of
Strathclyde offers the Masters in Communications Management,
more commonly known as the MCM (the MBA for the telecommunications
industry). It is a highly respected degree targeted to an
international market. The MCM is a fulltime course, taught
on campus, which is designed to address the managerial skills
required by those working in the telecommunications sector.
Full scholarships for fees and living expenses are available.

Course Structure
The course comprises 8 core modules and 6
elective modules (of which students choose three). Students
also have to satisfactorily complete a research project, which
normally runs for 3 months from September to November. The
project provides students with the opportunity to apply the
concepts and theories studied on the course.

Scholarships
Full scholarships covering all fees, travel expenses to and
from the UK and a monthly allowance payable February to December.
Course Length
The MCM course runs over a full calendar year from January
to December inclusive. The first month involves study in your
home country, followed by 11 months full-time study at the
University of Strathclyde.
Entry Requirements
Proposed candidates for the MCM course need to demonstrate
excellence in two areas. Firstly, the individual must possess
a good Honours degree (or its equivalent), candidates will
be considered from any discipline. Secondly, the individual
is required to have worked within the telecommunications industry
for a minimum of four years. Normally candidates should also
have English proficiency to 6.5 IELTS or equivalent.

initially will accept an informal application

Masters in Communications
– Registered Countries
There are scholarships available for the next intake of MCM
students. Typically these scholarships cover fees plus living
expenses.
Countries whose nationals
are eligible for consideration for the scholarships are:
Argentina, Brazil, China (including Hong Kong), Colombia,
Egypt, India, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Kenya,
Malaysia, Mexico, Nigeria, Pakistan, Philippines, Russia,
Saudi Arabia, South Africa, South Korea, Thailand, Turkey,
United Arab Emirates, Venezuela and Vietnam
Nationals of the following
countries are also eligible for the scholarships but there
can be no more than one candidate accepted
each year from Tanzania, Democratic Republic of Congo, Mozambique
and Lesotho.
