For many students, the cornerstone of the career development
process is an internship. Internships are work-learn experiences
in a professional setting outside of the classroom where
students can explore career areas, gain hands-on experience,
build transferable skills and develop industry contacts.
An internship is a learning
experience which supports a student's academic and career
goals. It is guided, supervised, and evaluated by professionals.
Internships give students a chance to test-drive a career
before committing to it. Internship duration varies from 1
to 3 month (June - August); and are voluntary or paid.
